The thriving development of the online world breeds different values and preferences. How to express individuality and strive for progress has become a common issue in these days. Ji Hotel is known for its main concept from The Analects of Confucius, which advocated of moderate, beneficent, respectful, sparing and tolerant; as a result, our first mission was to come up with a better solution based on this. We propose that the upgrade should follow The Five Constant Virtues, to make Ji simple but not ordinary.
On this limited land, hotels must be located in a convenient place in a city. In addition to receiving guests, we also thought about other possibilities for effective use of lobby, so "KeTing" was born. As a third space, Ji Hotel is not just a place where the traveler sleeps, bathes, and rests, but also a public space that is open to the neighborhood.
However, apart from the innovation of the public area, the upgrade of the guest room and other service space is another highlight. The arc corners of the room add a visually soft feel, while furnitures were all made in rounded corners. Besides the visual unity, it also reduces the possibility of collisionsand bruises. Considering the need for laundry from business travellers, a laundry room will be added to the new design. It is worth mentioning that it is no longer boring while wait for the laundry, where were equipped with tables,chairs, chargers, etc.
With the least variety of materials and the most gentle nude colors, Ji Hotel might not be unremarkable at first sight, but it is the stability that makes people feel "friendly and familiar." And we continue to improve all the details, presenting a simple but not ordinary Ji Hotel.
